The saxophonist Maï Toyama Passionate about classical music ,contemporary music, chamber music and especially the saxophone quartet she is a co-founder of the Uzumé Quartet.
She began learning the saxophone at the University of Music in Osaka Japan. She joined the Conservatoire Régional de Paris (Class of Christian Wirth) Where she gained a DEM degree unanimously.
Having studied with Jun Nishimoto, Naomi Tabata,Jiro Akamatsu, and Christian Wirth. she entered the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris in 2012 where she receives advice from Claude Delangle, saxophone as well as from Jens McManama for chamber music.
