Sophie Raynaud

Sophie RaynaudSophie Raynaud started her musical studies by learning to play the piano at Conservatoire de Paris (14th district). In 1997 she was awarded Paris City first prize. Meanwhile, she studied Literature at Paris Sorbonne University and began learning to play the bassoon. She graduated in both Modern Literature & Cultural Project Management with A mention in 2003.

In 2004, she decided to fully dedicate herself to music by joining the CNR of Saint-Maur des Fossés, following Lionel Bord’s teaching. She then obtained her advanced degree in 2007 and joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique of Lyon where she follows Carlo Colombo & Jean Pignoly teaching. She obtains her Master degree in 2011.

Her passion for both chamber music & orchestra has been growing ever since. She therefore joined the Coriolys wind quintette. During 2007 Aix-en-Provence festival, the quintette followed a special training under the direction of Berliner Philarmoniker solists. Sophie Raynaud performs in several orchestra & institutions: Opéra de Lyon, Orchestre de Paris, l’orchestre National des Pays de Loire, l’Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, l’Orchestre de Saint-Etienne, l’Orchestre Lamoureux…

In 2011 and 2012 she joins the Summer academy for composers and performing art projects Opus XXI.

In 2013 she participates to the Terza Luce création, a Michele Tadini’s piece for cello, percussion, basson and electronic in the Hexagone Scène Nationale Arts et Science de Grenoble.
